About Your Instructor
Hi, I am Sheri Summers…
I’ve loved languages and cultures for as
long as I can remember. As a child, I couldn’t wait to get to middle school just to start learning Spanish! Over the years, I’ve also studied French, Korean, Portuguese, and dabbled in German, Japanese, and Afrikaans.
My passion for languages has taken me around the world. I’ve lived in the Philippines (as a small child), Portugal, Korea, Taiwan, and Panama, and traveled to many more countries along the way.
For more than 20 years, I taught English to adults from nearly every corner of the globe. Later, I specialized in American accent and pronunciation coaching, helping professionals succeed in their careers in the U.S.
What I bring to this Spanish course is not just language knowledge, but a deep understanding of what it really takes to learn a language- the challenges, the surprises, and the little tricks that can make a big difference.
My goal is to help you feel supported, encouraged, and capable every step of the way.
